This weekend saw the second Gaia Workshop. This time teaching in two half day sessions how to make soap and with such clever fast learning students there was even time for a quick Bath Bomb tutorial.Over lunch wonderful innovative brainstorming with new ideas for soaps, packaging and future projects.
Plenty of time to discuss recipes, go over ratios and to truly practice this ancient craft.

Javier is among other things an artisan book binder that went away with exciting and top secret plans how to incorporate his new learned perfuming art into his own craft.I enjoyed passing on all I know about the craft of soap making, its history and potential for the future and of course perfume blending!
My student even cooked lunch for me; introducing me to alcachova a la plancha! Thank you Javier...

No we have not yet made a Alcachofa soap... but it could be considered! In this case we had fresh spring time Artichoke for our lunch that Javier kindly cooked for us.
