Fine Skin

Tips for taking command of bad teenage skin

We have the occasional requests to help deal with teenage skin problems and here is advice on how best to deal with out breaks of spots and worse.

Cleansiness is paramount.
1.Wash you face twice maybe even three times a day with soap and lots of clean water.
2. Never touch your face with dirty hands .
3. Wash your hair daily while trying to clear up a skin condition to keep the hairline of the forehead and neck oil free and clean.
4. Have regular hair cuts and if you are a boy keep it short.
5. Watch your shaving routine. Always follow the routine of using a pre shave oil, open the pores with a hot towel, a good antiseptic shaving foam and use disposable shavers with three blades. Try to only pass over the skin once to shave. Always use an After Shave to close the pores and disinfect.
 6. Out break of spots occur always in the same areas so as a cure and a prevention use a T Tree / Rosemary/ Lavender essential oil neat to put onto these areas. Roll on twice a day even when the skin appears ok!
7. Buy yourself a really good Concealer and use it! A really good one is from the Bodyshop with T Tree oil in it. It makes your skin look clear, give you the confidence that you are looking good and this will stop you from continually touching the spots. Not touching the effected areas is a big part of  clearing your skin condition.
8. Use a daily light moisturiser, even if you think that your skin is greasy and does not need one. It will help your skin to find a balance and stop it from oscillating between over and under producing its own oils.
9. Last and not least …. stay away from sweet sugar drinks as they are truly bad for your skin. Also cheap sweeties …. dark chocolate is fine!

People with bad skin have tendency to punish their skin for being bad and tend to use products that are way to sharp. If you want to have good skin treat it like that of a new born baby and soon you will have truly fine skin.
