January saw me travelling to Mexico and Florida. Leaving our beautiful island and taking a look at what else is out there in the world has become more important with every year. Not only is it healthy to step away and take a look at life, business and yourself from afar, it helps you get a better over view. It is important to take stock here and there and assess, think, plan and most importantly rest.
When I go to other places and see how other folk run their lives and businesses the new inspirations and impulses alway help me to return with a mountain of plans, ideas and new energy.

Doing the 50th look whilst staying
at Tropical Cottages on
Key Marathon
I loved Mexico, its beautiful light and colours and really experienced it as an essence of every thing Spanish. All the things that I have come to love about Spain, there they are but intensified.
New Orleans, its French influence, the marvellous musical indulgence and a look at early American apothecary all excited and delighted me.
Florida and The Keys, meeting island people, much like island people everywhere….
sunset celebrations and always and everywhere I was on the look out for ideas how the hand made soap and natural cosmetics genre is interpreted in other places.
