Gaia Finca becomes a Wwhoofer Finca

Wwhoofing the Gaia way

Planting out the Aloe Plants with help from Max
May saw the arrival of the Gaia Fincas first Wwhoofer Davina from San Sebastian in the Basque Country who is staying for two weeks and is learning how to harvest the Aloe Vera plants. She has extracted an impressive 40 liters of Aloe Vera Juice. She has also separated and re planted  as many plants with the help of Max. Earlier in the year we became a Wwhoofer Finca who welcomes volunteers, young people who want to gain experinence with our farming methods and our production methods and just generally want to spend some time in the country side. They stay for an average of 2 weeks and give us 5 hours of work a day in return for food and board.
