Gaia Natural Anti Lice Range PIOJOSAN

After much research Gaia has come up with a natural solution for the Lice Plague that affects most families with school age children every year.
Our product, PIOJOSAN, uses Neem Oil as its active ingredient.  Neem oil has an extensive history of human use in India and surrounding regions for a variety of therapeutic purposes.  Neem oil is not known to be harmful to mammals but leaves louse eggs unfertilised after treatment and live lice infertile.
We have suspended a large amount of Neem Oil in Sesame Seed Oil which enhances the effect of the Neem and protects and nourishes the hair. Further we have added T Tree, Lavender and Star Anis. The treatment should be applied liberaly all over the head and combed through and left for at least 1 hour  under a showercap.
The same essential oils are used in the acompanying PIOJOSAN Shampoo which will wash out the Lice treatment with ease and also in the PIOJOSAN Spray which you should use daily to prevent re investation and use to spray cloth and pillows.

Piojosan can be bought at GAIAbathtime, c-Corderia 28
Palma de Mallorca or on line from our website

Available also from

Out tests on live lice have shown that the louse dies on contact with PIOJOSAN treatment and that after treatment no more live lice hatch from the eggs. The Neem Oil not only destoys the protecive shell of the louse but also affects the shell of the egg. Remaining eggs need to be removed with a comb. To be on the very safe side we recommend that the treatment be repeated after 6 to 9 days!.

The treatment of human head lice is a process that has been debated and studied for centuries. However, the number of cases of human louse infestations (or pediculosis) has increased worldwide since the mid-1960s, reaching hundreds of millions annually

Because eggs hatch 6–9 days after oviposition, treatment with a pediculicide is recommended to be repeated at least once after 10 days, when all lice have hatched. Between the two treatments (Days 2–9) the person will still be infested with lice that hatch from eggs not killed by the anti-louse product. Between the treatments, it is advised to wet the hair and comb daily with a louse-comb to remove the hatching lice.
Hold a towel over the face to prevent contact of the product with the eyes of the infested person; and, if the product does come in contact with the eyes, rinse well with water. While the hair is still wet, use a louse comb 3–4 minutes, to remove lice and eggs.
One to three days after the last treatment (Days 11-13), hair should be checked with a louse comb. If no living lice are found, the treatment was successful, even if nits/eggs are visible on the hair. If living lice are still present, repeat the treatment using an anti-louse product with a different active ingredient. Prophylactic treatment with pediculicides is not recommended.
Itching may persist for up to a week after head lice eradication.
However, head lice are known to be resistant to commercial products.

It is recommended to wear hair in a gathered ponytail, bun, or braid. Sharing of coats, jackets, hoodies, sweat shirts or towels should not be done. Hairbrushes, combs, hair ties, headbands, etc. should not be shared. Using a t Tree or Lavender  spray as a deterrent is also preferable. Applying it in the morning and again in afternoon.

Sheep Wool Felt Soaps NEW at Gaia

After meeting some wonderful women from deepest darkest Mallorca who use virgin sheep wool to make felt and in turn make bags, slippers, fairytale figures and all sort of wonderful things we had the idea to make a truly unique soap. http://naturalfelt.wordpress.com/
Traditionally felt is made washing and rubbing together virgin sheep wool in very soapy water.

Sheep shearing in the spring
on the Island of Mallorca
Mallorquin Sheep famous for their
lovely wool
So why not felt a GAIA soap into a piece of virgin sheep wool.
The effect on the skin would be gently exfoliating and it would also
make a wonderful lather.
The resulting pieces of soap are unique! The wool has been left in its original colours. Cream, brown and black just as our Mallorquin sheep!

Goddess Body Massage Oils

Late in 2012  I got to thinking a lot about those essential oils that mimic our hormones and on what level there is room for self help. When, like myself, the ups and downs of menopause are getting you down and when you have anxiety attacks, hot flushes and a sadness that comes over you for no reason at all. This led me to thinking about the mood swings in the menstrual cycle of young women and how every month they have to deal with confidence issues, mood swings, anxieties and  physical issues like feeling bloated or tender
I looked at a lot of essential oils and their properties and blended two fundamentally different oils that need to be applied to the areas of our body where we store fats.... the hips, thighs, our bottoms, breasts and upper arms.  These oils are  for self massage should be applied daily.
I made these oils for all my women friends as christmas presents and of course made one for myself. I labelled them Goddess Body Massage Oils, one for a Mature Goddess and one for a Young Goddess.

Since my ´Mature Goddess´ friends and I have been using it we have found that indeed they do help. I have also noticed that the daily self massage using these essential oils has made my tummy and upper arms firmer.  The mature Goddess Range also includes a 'Feel Sexy Bath Oil' to help get us back into the mood and into the swing of Love.

My Young Godesses whose essential oils include Lavender, Rose and Geranium also suspended in Onagra,  Rosa Mosqueta and  Organic Sunflower, report a great improvement at 'That Time of the Month' and an overall increase in confidence and sense of well being. Into their range I also included a Painful Period Bath Oil.

To serve all Goddesses I have created a   Re-Balancing Rollon, reuniting all the essentails oils from the orange tree, its blossom, its leaves and stems.

So that our Men should not feel left out I have also made a Shower Gel, a Body Massage Oil and an essential oil blend to add to a candle for a Mature God to restore youthful energy.
I called this range 'The Boss'. Amongst those essential oils  are Sandalwood, Geranium, Cumin,  Ginger, Clary Sage, Rose, Bergamot and Lemon.

For the younger man, the range helps build confidence and helps with setting the mood for Love. This range is called 'Young Sex God'. Includes essential oils of Clary Sage, Eucalyptus, Ginger, Lemon, Corriander and Nutmeg.

The final touch, and this is´Gaia Perfecting´, we have a new Anti Stress Pillow Spray, for a quick spray of Lemon, Corriander and Nutmeg before bed time.
